Grade Level: Preschool-5th

Responsibilities:
To assist and support the special education teacher and program for high-needs and regular special education students. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to assisting the students within their classroom and outside of the classroom, daily documentation, supplementing students’ IEP’s, and assisting teachers.

Qualifications:
Required:
   • High School Diploma or GED
   • Highly Qualified (must have an Associate’s degree or higher or can become HQ by taking a Paraprofessional Assessment once hired)
   • Current Red Cross First Aid and CPR certification (required once hired)
   • Flexible
   • Demonstrated excellent oral and written skills, attention to detail and organizational skills
   • Ability to support students at all grade levels

Preferred:
   • Experience as a paraprofessional and/or experience with special education students
   • Associate’s degree or higher
   • Basic technology skills (Microsoft Office Applications, email)

Start Date:
January 2019

Work Schedule:
7:45 a.m.-3:45 p.m.
Mon-Fri

Salary/Benefits:
$12-$13/hour depending on education and experience
