In the heart of Ridgway and the San Juan region, the Cimarron Athletic Field is a vibrant hub for sports and outdoor recreation. This facility at the Ridgway Secondary School features a synthetic turf soccer field, an all-weather eight-lane track, and spaces for field events, with plans for terraced benches, shaded tables, and a play/fitness area. The Cimarron Athletic Field is open to the public outside of school hours, practice times, and sporting events. We look forward to having students and the community enjoy this beautiful facility for decades to come.

Soccer Field

A synthetic turf soccer field conserves water and allows teams to hold practices and games on our own field, even in inclement spring and fall weather.

Eight Lane Track

The completed all-weather track now provides students with a safe, state-of-the-art facility for training and competition while also offering the community a place to gather for recreation and exercise. It is the first publicly available track in the surrounding five counties.
