Athletes’ legs and shoes stick up from behind a green hurdle labeled “RIDGWAY,” with a track, trees, and snow-capped mountains in the background.

From Athletic & Activities Director Shawnn Row:

I can't commend the team effort it took to pull off Saturday's track meet! Thank you, thank you, thank you to all the volunteers, coaches, parents, students, etc. that helped get the track ready the last two weeks and helped out yesterday. Anytime I turned around, people were asking what they could do to help, and I often had something for them to do, like moving hurdles, flipping burgers, raking sand, etc. It was chaotic leading up to the start, but once everybody knew their jobs the meet ran itself. This meet was about four years in the making, and to see our student-athletes competing on their own turf meant the world to me. The Cimarron Athletic Field Committee put countless hours of time and energy into this project and to see it come to fruition was amazing. Thank you to anybody and everybody who made this dream a reality.

Below is Sophia Forrest's 100m dash win. I don't think there is a prettier track in the whole state!
