The Ridgway School District Board of Education is made up of five dedicated community members who volunteer their time to serve four-year terms. In the upcoming 2025 Coordinated Election, three board seats will be up for election.

Community members interested in running for a seat on the board can pick up a candidate petition starting Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 9:00 AM at the Ridgway School District Office: 1115 West Clinton Street, Ridgway, CO

Candidates are responsible for identifying and meeting all legal and financial deadlines.

First day to pick up and circulate Nomination Petitions, Ridgway School District Office, 1115 West Clinton Street, Ridgway, CO 81432

August 29, 2025, 1:00 p.m.
Nomination Petition: Last day for school director candidates to file a nomination petition with circulators’ notarized affidavits, a notarized acceptance of nomination, and written notice of intent to be a candidate.

Write-in Candidates: Last day for school director write-in candidate to file an affidavit of intent to be a candidate.

Candidate Audio Recording: Last day for candidate to submit to the county clerk an audio recording of the pronunciation of his or her name exactly as it is provided in the candidate's statement of intent.
