At Ridgway School District we have a saying, "Aspire to Inspire." Whether a student is an incoming sixth grader or a graduating senior, we keep this saying close to heart. After all, RSS is the last step before a student becomes a citizen of the world. Here at RSS, one way we inspire the youth of the 21st Century is to engage students in a multitude of activities, both inside the classroom and outside the classroom. Through our Outdoor Experiential Learning Program our students experience a variety of instruction which include but are not limited to:

• A senior rafting trip with Outward Bound

• A junior backpacking trip

• A sophomore cultural experience in Denver, Colorado

• A freshmen summit camping trip

• Freshmen ice-climbing expeditions

• A 6th-8th grade biomes camping experience

• 6th-8th grade Winter Adventure Days (AT Skiing, Nordic Skiing, & Snowshoeing)

• 8th grade Rights of Passage at The Needles

• Multiple service learning projects with the community of Ridgway
