Healthy Meals for All

Ridgway School District will provide no-cost lunch for all students through at least December 2025*.

Although all students will receive no-cost meals, it's still important for households to provide their income information when requested. Gathering this information allows Ridgway School District to receive the state and federal funding we qualify for. These funds go directly to schools to help cover the cost of meals and support after-school activities and other nutritional programs for students. Plus, qualifying households may be eligible for Summer EBT benefits, receive discounted school fees, and more.

*Will School Meals Stay Free?
Thanks to Colorado’s Healthy School Meals for All (HSMA) program, school meals are free for all students through the end of 2025. To keep this program going beyond that, two statewide ballot measures—Propositions LL and MM—will go before voters this November. If approved, these measures would continue funding for free, healthy school meals for all students across Colorado.
