Committee Member Responsibilities
Members of the Ridgway School District Accountability Committee (DAC) play a vital role in supporting the success of our schools. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Core Responsibilities
Review school budgets and provide observations and recommendations.
Evaluate school Performance and Improvement Plans annually.
Participate in interview committees as designated by Board policy.
Join sub-committees as requested by the Board of Education or school administration.
Additional Responsibilities
Administer and report results of the school climate survey.
Review the district calendar and provide input.
School Wellness Policy Oversight
The Board of Education has designated the DAC as the district-wide wellness advisory council, responsible for overseeing the ADF School Wellness Policy. As part of this role, the DAC conducts a formal policy assessment at least once every three years to evaluate effectiveness and recommend improvements.
Recent Updates to the ADF School Wellness Policy:
January 23, 2024 – The ADF School Wellness Policy presented to DAC at the quarterly meeting.
March 13, 2024 – DAC conducted a formal review; no changes recommended.
April 25, 2024 – The School Board approved
We encourage parents, teachers, students, and community members to participate in the review, update, and implementation of our School Wellness Policy. Your input helps support student health, nutrition, and wellness.
